Apologies for the lack of an article last week but the week rather got away from GAMBLOR. In saying that he probably would been a 50/50 weekend with Essendon, GWS & Western Bulldogs being good results but Sydney & Hawthorn being ordinary ones.

The penultimate round of the H&A season offers a little bit of #value so let get stuck in.

Richmond vs Essendon

Friday 7.50pm EST

Richmond by 35 points (103-68)

Richmond > 15.5 @ $1.65 seems a good price considering how the Tigers finish off games. In saying that I am always wary of this Bombers side

Confidence Level:            Low-Med

Collingwood vs Port Adelaide

Saturday 14.45pm EST

Collingwood by 26 points (91-65)

Expecting this to be a low scoring scrappy affair, not dissimilar to when they met last year at this venue. Port won on that occasion but I fear the roles will be reversed here with Grundy (who missed this games last year) expected to dominate with Ryder out.

Collingwood 1-39 @ $1.75

Collingwood at the line (-16.50 @ $1.91)

Confidence:       Med

Geelong vs Fremantle

Kardinia Park

Saturday 2.10pm EST

Geelong by 81 points (123-42)

Geelong on the rebound vs Freo without Sandi, Fyfe & Walters = Getting Ugly

Geelong at the line (-52.5) @ $1.91

Geelong by 60+ @ $2.30 (I Like this)

Geelong by 100+ @ $12 (seems #value)

GWS vs Sydney

Spotless Stadium

Saturday 4.35pm EST

GWS by 15 points (94-79)

Both sides injury ravaged but the Giants have something about them of late while I’m not sure how many shots the Swans have left in them

GWS H2H @ $1.75

GWS 1-39 @ $2.20

Confidence Level:            Med

Gold Coast vs Brisbane

Saturday 7.25pm EST

Hard to get enthused about this at all. Surely Brisbane win but hardly leaping into $1.25 about them to arrive at the right ground, let alone win a game of footy. Harvey Norman.

Brisbane by 33 points (111-78)

Total Score OVER 171.5 @ $1.91 if you absolutely have to have a bet

Confidence Level: Low

St Kilda vs Hawthorn

Saturday 7.25pm EST

GAMBLOR is still convinced that Hawthorn aren’t great which goes to show (aside from Richmond) what a comparatively poor bunch of team we have heading to September. With precious little between 2nd and 10th, you either think we have 9 great teams all running into each other simultaneously, or they are ordinary bunch who on the right day could easily lose to or beat anyone on their day. I subscribe to the later. With all that said, Hawthorn surely will get the job done again here against a poor Saints outfit.

Hawthorn by 46 points (108-62)

Hawthorn by >25.5 @ $1.80 seems a safe enough play

Confidence Level: Med

Carlton vs Western Bulldogs

Sunday 1.10pm EST

A genuine who cares match up here between two poor teams. Doggies have actually been okay the last fortnight so rightfully go into this warm favourites and Carlton who are poor as a rule, seems to save their worst for Docklands. Junk time games tend to be stay away affairs from a punting perspective (WB v St K anyone?)

Bulldogs by 29 (95-66)

No Bet

Confidence: High. You can’t lose money if you don’t bet

West Coast vs Melbourne

Perth Stadium

Sunday 3.20pm EST

Do you remember the episode of The Simpsons when Lisa fits a cupcake with an electric shock device and Bart keep grabbing it and electrocuting himself every time he tries in the hope that the next attempt he won’t get zapped and the cupcake will be his? That is GAMBLOR’s relationship with the Melbourne football club. Continuing to back them in the hope that “this time” they will get the job done. And even after all the zaps I’ve copped from the Dees in 2018, I can’t stop looking at this game thinking the Dees are #value. The Hogan out is a big one but can be overcome. Surely the Dees are sitting on a bridge crossing a synagogue #OverDue

Melbourne by 7 points (91-84)

Melbourne 1-39 @ $2.90

Melbourne at the line (+7.5) @ $1.91

Confidence Level: I’m backing Melbourne against top 8 team. What do you think? LOW!

Adelaide vs North Melbourne

Adelaide Oval

Sunday 4.40pm EST

Not a game I’m super keen on to be honest but the #value here lies with North. $3.20 seems overs to me against a Crows side that haven’t exactly dazzled in 2018. I know that the Kangas bubble seems to have burst but you $1.35 for the Crows seem poison. Probably won’t be playing but….

Adelaide by 7 points (92-85)

North at the line (+19.5) @ $1.91 if you must…

Confidence Level : Low

Best Bets

GWS H2H @ $1.75

Geelong at the line (-49.5) @ $1.91

Best Roughie

Geelong by 100+ @ $12

Geel >39.5 / GWS / Haw >15.5 / Melb (+15.5) – @ $6.75
