GAMBLOR – ROUND FIFTEEN

Richmond vs Sydney

Docklands

Thursday 7.20pm EST

I know it’s nothing to do with punting but how good is Thursday night footy! Love it! Easy to love when it’s 1st vs 2nd with both teams going along very nicely. The x factor is that it is being played at Docklands which I reckon gives Sydney a big sniff here.  Would been to play Sydney if they got out to $2.50+ but $2.20 is the best around currently which means I’ll probably stay out.

Sydney by 3 points (89-86)

Either side by < 15.5 @ $2.55 if you must

Western Bulldogs vs Geelong

Docklands

Friday 7.50pm EST

Doggies were hugely improved on the weekend and were very stiff to lose to North but sides can “forget” how to win and that was the look the Bulldogs were giving off. Again at Dockland which suits but there is nothing I have seen from them this year that indicates that can put consecutive good performances together. Cats are the H&A specialists and with them likely to get back Harry Taylor & maybe Scott Selwood, should be too good. Bookies have this about right I reckon so not much interest from a punting perspective.

Geelong by 29 points (103-74)

Geelong 1-39 @ $2.10 and hope the doggies can hang in there

Carlton vs Port Adelaide

MCG

Saturday 1.45pm EST

Blues were much improved and with Kade Simpson’s 300th you’d think will be up for this injuries have cruelled any hope of them being a winning hope here you’d think. Mind you, GAMBLOR is not sold on Port Adelaide as a genuine top 4 side. Melbourne should have beaten them at home last week and the Power are still a question mark on the road. Harvey Norman from a betting angle.

Port Adelaide by 29 points (95-66)

Adelaide vs West Coast

Adelaide Oval

Saturday 4.35pm EST

What a bizarre match-up this has turned into. The previously flying WCE find themselves without Kennedy, Darling & Le Cras in that forward line. If last week is anything to go by, that isn’t good news. The Crows meanwhile are a shadow of their former selves but the word on the street is that’s some big names could be scheduled to return. As bad as the Crows are travelling I juts cannot see a weakened WCE side knocking them off on their own dung heap. $1.75 seems about the right price.

Adelaide by 17 points (99-82)

Adelaide H2H @ $1.75

Adelaide 1-39 @ $2.05

Gold Coast vs Collingwood

Cararra

Saturday 7.25pm EST

Collingwood did as much as they had to (and not a scrap more) against Carlton on the weekend and won’t probably have to do a heap more here against Gold Coast. The Suns look to move the ball really nicely but just are dead set butcher merchants. If they get it together they could be competitive here but I’ll believe it when I see it. Again, a game I want nothing to do with, whether it be watching or investing.

Collingwood by 33 points (96-63)

GWS vs Hawthorn

Spotless

Saturday 7.25pm EST

This is a genuine “8 pointer – Leaver Leaves Town”  match up with the likelihood of both these team playing finals low. Giants were okay against a plucky Brisbane at the GABBA but the loss of Jeremy Cameron (due to a footy incident / attempted murder, depending on who you talk to) will be a big one. On the upside, the mids are starting to purr long nicely. Kelly, Shiel, Whitfield, Coniglio & Co are all fit & firing. The worry is who kicks their goals. Patton has been a huge disappointment to date but here lies a great opportunity. The Hawks were clinical in Tassie against the Suns but they also have a big loss in Burgoyne. Pretty keen the GWS can lift and get the chocolates in what should be a cracker of a contest.

GWS by 21 points (93-72)

GWS H2H @ $1.80

GWS 1-39 @ $2.30

Total Score OVER 157.5 @ $1.91

Melbourne vs St Kilda

MCG

Sunday 1.10pm EST

The Dees (fairly or unfairly) are gaining a reputation for beating up on ordinary teams and finding a way to fall short against top 8 teams so based on that, let’s unleash on Melb 60+! The Saints may have turned a tiny corner in falling over the line against Gold Coast but that isn’t exactly a strong form line. Weather looks good, Melbourne could unleash here. They are actually playing really well.

Melbourne by 62 points (113-51)

Melbourne at the line (-38.5) @ $1.91

Melbourne by 40+ @ $2.00

Melbourne by 60+ @ $3.20

Essendon vs North Melbourne

Docklands

Sunday 3.20pm EST

These are probably the two teams that GAMBLOR has found the hardest to get a handle on in 2018, hence won’t be betting too hard here. With that being said , North are chronically under rated and the odds of the Bombers putting two consecutive great efforts together are slim. Happy to be with North but I never seem to get them right this year so tread warily….

North Melbourne by 22 points (92-70)

North 1-39 @ $2.30 if you must but anything could happen here…

Fremantle v Brisbane

Perth Stadium

Sunday 4.40pm EST

What a blockbuster to finish the round!!! Care factor is about as low as the likelihood of a Socceroo scoring from general play. Fremantle were amazing against a truly wretched Carlton and are showing genuine signs of improvement. Brisbane keep Gerard Whateley happy as they are high scoring…but their fans aren’t so happy as their opponents tend to score more which tends not to bode well. from a win/loss perspective. With that being said, if you think I’m taking $1.25 about Freo against anyone, you are very much mistaken. A game to avoid.

Fremantle by 31 points (94-63)

I can’t recommend anything here
