What a weekend it was for those that follow the almighty GAMBLOR!
The great man nailed 8/9 games with all bets on those 8 games saluting for massive returns. Glad you all got aboard. Now let’s see if we can back it up…
Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs
Friday 7.50pm EST
Crows are going pretty well and were a touch stiff to lose the Showdown last week. Dogs fell over the line at home against the Lions. Forecast is for a bit of rain which may keep the Dogs within striking distance for longer but can’t see them getting to the Crows here. Reckon Adel will bounce back with a big win but selection news has GAMBLOR a touch more cautious than what he was earlier in the week. Some big outs!
Adelaide by 48 points (105-57)
Adelaide the line (-36.5) seems a safe play @ $1.91
North Melbourne vs GWS
Saturday 1.45pm EST
North are going really well and pushed the Tigers are hard as anyone this year (Adel aside of course who beat them) in going down narrowly. Meanwhile, GAMBLOR has officially had a gutful of the Giants. They are genuine downhill skiers and have an excuse ready for every situation. Yes they have injuries but so do plenty of other teams. They look to a team reliant on individual talent as opposed to a collective game plan. I just know that the first time I bet against them, they will bite me in the bum. Have to go with the form team as opposed to the team who potentially could do something. But gee $2.30 about the Giants is sooooo tempting….
North by 14 points (89-75)
North 1-39 @ $2.15 if you must..
Gold Coast vs Port Adelaide
Saturday 3.15pm EST
Power had a confidence boosting win in the Derby while the poor Suns have officially had a gutful of travelling. Not a game that excites me at any level but fair play to the media going over for the game. Quality junket. Expecting warm and fine conditions to the Power could rack up a cricket score…which would mean about as much sense to people at this game, as the game itself.
Power by 63 points (121-58)
Power at the line (39.5) @ $1.91
Power by 60+ @ 3.15 seems a good price
Also if there is a market for highest scoring team, get on Port no matter the price.
Essendon vs Geelong
Saturday 4.35pm EST
Pretty quiet week down at Essendon with them hardly discussed in the media which is great news for the coaching team of Worsfold, Neeld & Co. to really build on a solid….oh…..Yeah, things aren’t going great down at Windy Hill but as they say “When things are good, they are never as good as they seem & when they are bad, they aren’t as bad they seem.”. With my deep philosophy out of the way, even a backs against the wall type effort here won’t be enough to knock off the Cats. In saying that, Geelong didn’t exactly dazzle in a very dour affair on Sunday v Collingwood. You couldn’t possible tip Ess here but stranger things have happened….
Geelong by 27 points (99-72)
St Kilda vs Collingwood
Saturday 7.25pm EST
With all going on at Essendon, Alan Richardson has somehow managed to escape the media torch for another week, in spite of his Saints not winning a game since March. They are awful. Truly awful but did so some signs of life in the 3rd term against Freo in Perth. Pies were poor in a poor game on the weekend but otherwise has been okay and deserve to be favourites here. But $1.33?! No thanks.
Collingwood by 22 points (99-77)
Collinwood 1-39 @ $2.15 if you have to.
Collingwood 1-24 @ $3.30 and hope the Saints show a little backbone…but not too much
Sydney vs Fremantle
Swans were terrific on Friday night against fellow top 8 aspirant Hawthorn on Friday night but the pessimist in me thinks they won’t get 7 goals from Ben Ronke again anytime soon. Freo did what they had to (and not a heap more) at home against the Saints which didn’t exactly flatter. Add the fact Freo travel about as well as a solar car in Iceland during the depths of winter and you have another 4 points for Sydney. Buddy & Hanners back arouses if you are keen on Sydney…
Sydney by 39 points (94-55)
Sydney at the line (-25.5) @ $1.91. Would be staggered if they didn’t cover…
Carlton vs Melbourne
Sunday 1.10pm EST
Blues have won one in a row and are flying but have had an odd week with the Curnow Bros. getting more publicity than Schappelle Corby. But in all seriousness, if you are not already on the Dees for the flag, had a little flutter now. You can still get $17 if you shop well and it’s the best price you’ll get all year. I’m not saying they are morals, I’m saying they are #value. Dees are cruising along under the radar and with the return of Viney this week, the Death Star is nearly complete. Darth Goodwin will be most pleased *insert evil laugh here*
Melbourne by 36 points (98-62)
Melb by > 15.5 @ $1.35 if a safe leg of your multi.
You can make money from Melb 20-39 @ $3.75 & Melb by 40-59 @ $4. If the forecast ran comes, the Blues can keep it to < 60 pts.
Brisbane vs Hawthorn
Sunday 3.20pm EST
GAMBLOR has a crazy feeling in his bones that Brisbane are going to win this. Have been going okay without winning of late and a similar performance to that against Collingwood a fortnight ago will get the job done here. Must admit I was hoping for a better price though. Hawthorn are a genuine middle of the road side and while they are going okay, could easily slip up here. Going for an upset…
Brisbane by 9 points (97-88)
Brisbane 1-39 @ $3.40 seems a good price
Total Score OVER 180.5 @ $1.91
WCE vs Richmond
Sunday 4.40pm EST
What an absolute ripper this will be. 1st v 2nd. And I’ve changed my mind about 38 times here. And the markets has them $1.92 each of two which support my lack of confidence here. Both teams are flying but $1.92 about an Up and About WCE team at home seems a solid play. Loathe to bet against Richmond of course but they can’t win them all. WCE to show the comp that they are the real deal (even though they probably did that last week but Melbourne based people need a little more proof on interstate teams). Won’t be investing a lot but cannot wait to watch!!!
WCE by 9 points (89-80)
WCE 1-39 @ $2.40
Either side by < 15.5 @ $2.55
Port at the line (-39.5) @ $1.92
Brisbane 1-39 @ $3.40
Adel >15.5 / Pt Adel >25.5 / Syd >15.5 / Melb >15.5 / Bris (+15.5) – $7
