GAMBLOR – Round 20

Posted on Posted in Gamblor

We did warn followers last week that Round 19 was not one to be getting too involved in and so it proved as the Crows took a half to warm up which killed our investments there. It still could have been a positive week though had someone picked up Robbie Gray at that last contest!!! Aargh!!!!  But there were some solid returns from WCE & Rich (both games we nailed the exact winning margin) and the Saints delivered albeit at the line only.

We have a touch more confidence this week so can open the purse strings a little more in Round 20…

Geelong vs Sydney

Kardinia Park

Friday Night

This is interesting in that the Cats are going great but are missing Danger. The Swans are also going great (last week aside) and may be missing JPK among a few others that have questions marks against them. I will need better odds than $1.90 to be against the Cats against anyone down at Kardinia Park but feeling the Swan may edge it in what promises to be a ripper. A game to be enjoyed without too much of a financial interest.

Swans by 7 points (94-87)

Either side by < 15.5 @ $2.65 (if you must)

GWS vs Melbourne

Saturday Afternoon

Another ripping contest in store here as GWS head to their home away from home, (Peter Harvey) Canberra to face a Dees side who are on the rebound from a very Melbourne-esque slip in Hobart against the Kanas. The loss of Hogan for most (if not all) of teh season really hurts and it just comes at a time when the Dees were getting all their cattle back on the track. Have a feeling that the last quarter against Freo could be the start of the Giants comeback to season 2017 but if you think I’m taking $1.45 about them against a top 6 opposition based solely on a good 1/4 against a Freo team on the road, you are very much mistaken.

GWS by 9 points (95-86)

GWS 1-39 @ $2.15

Melb at the line (+15.5) @ $1.80

Essendon vs Carlton

Saturday Afternoon

The young Blues looked completely cooked on Saturday night, doing extremely accurate witches hats impressions at times which isn’t all together surprising as they are a very young list, missing some experienced personnel and play a very taxing game style. If they were playing pretty much anyone other than Essendon, I will be chips in on another hiding. BUT…. The Bombers of 2017 have found a way to stuff up against lesser teams and while I have no doubt they will get the chocolates here, I am loathe to invest at the short quote.

Essendon 28 points (93-65)

Total Score UNDER 180.5 @ $1.91

Brisbane vs Western Bulldogs

Saturday Twilight

As the season rolls on to its inevitable, there are some games that create zero interest. This is ones of those games. Expect the Dogs to win and seeing Brisbane are playing, the scoring to be high. Lets invest accordingly…

Bulldogs by 51 (127-74)

Total Score OVER 187.5 @ $1.91

Bulldogs by > 24.5 @ $1.80

North Melbourne vs Collingwood

Saturday Night

Been keeping a close eye on the Kangas over the last month and was filthy I didn’t have the courage of my convictions and include them against Melbourne. But that ship has sailed and I cannot see them backing it up two weeks in a row. Pies should win this but what have I always said about betting in games with 2 bad sides…Don’t! In saying that, there are some fun plays here in what I think may be a shootout.

Collingwood by 21 points (111-90)

Collingwood Total Points OVER 100.5 @ $1.91

Total Score OVER 192.5 @ $1.91 (#ShootOut)

Steele Sidebottom to get 30+ @ $2.70 (#value)

Fremantle vs Gold Coast

Saturday Night

Harvey Norman…. = NO INTEREST

GC by 9 points (83-72)

GC H2H @ $3.10

GC at the line (+19.5) @ 1.91

Total Score UNDER 170.5 @ $1.91 (Death, Taxes & Total Score UNDER bets at night in Perth)

St Kilda vs West Coast

Sunday Early Afternoon

A battle between 2 of the most middle-of-the-road, frustratingly inconsistent teams in the league meet here in a “Loser Leaves Town” game. The loser will find it tough to play finals although with the way this season is going, they’ll probably finish top 4. The game-changer for me here is if Saint Nick plays. If he is back, I lean their way but with no confidence whatsoever.

St Kilda by 7 points (98-91)

Either side by < 15.5 points @ $2.65 (if you must)

Richmond vs Hawthorn

Sunday Afternoon

Pretty keen on the Tigers here (let’s be honest, they have only played 2 bad games all year) and the make-shift Hawks back line I reckon will have huge trouble with the small fwds of Richmond. The strength of the Hawks backs is intercept marking (Sicily, Gunston et al) but the Tigers won’t be bombing it in and once the ball hits the deck, Tigets will dominate. Add to tha no Hodge and GAMBLOR is keen to unleash (although a little gutted by the price. Was hoping for better).

Richmond by 32 points (101-69)

Richmond H2H @ $1.75

Richmond at the line (-4.5) @ $1.91

Richmond by > 15.5 @ $2.65

Richmond by > 24.5 @ $3.50 (Love this)***

Richmond by $40+ @ $6.50 (#value)

Adelaide vs Port Adelaide

Adelaide Oval

Sunday Twilight

I love watching Showdowns almost as much as I hate betting on them. Form lines out the windows and tough to read. Should be a ripper!

Adelaide by 11 points (104-93)

Either side by < 15.5 points @ $2.70
