GAMBLOR – ROUND 5

Posted on Posted in Gamblor

GAMBLOR again went aggressively at an ordinary team missing key personnel and as a result did our collective balls. The Melbourne investment was looking a good one at ½ time but alas fell in a heap. In saying that though, there were some other gems in the rough. Nailed the GWS v Nth game (GWS by 31 pts correctly predicted) and was keen on WCE 1-39 last Thursday night which saluted but the aim is to improve and we have found some roughies to invest on in a year that is proving to predict.

Port Adelaide vs Carlton

Friday night

Adelaide Oval

No Daisy No Carlton is the catchphrase around Lygon St and the loss of Thomas (and also maybe Kreuzer a bit) will hurt here. Port were great for 3 quarters against GWS in Canberra and were only blown away late. They are going well and  this could get ugly.

Port by 63 points (131-68)

Port back from $1.15 to $1.09 so any value in this game has disappeared well and

Western Bulldogs vs Brisbane

Saturday afternoon

Docklands

Doggies haven’t been great all year but are getting results so you can’t really complain. Not keen to leap into them at the short quote but not going to bet against them either. Brisbane are very inconsistent on the road so you really don’t know what you are going to get with them.

Dogs by 33 points (112-79)

Small wager on the Lions at the line (+49.5) @ $1.91 for interest only

Gold Coast vs Adelaide

Saturday afternoon

Cararra

The interesting take on this one is that the forecast is for rain which could keep the scoring down, albeit with two high scoring teams in action. Both teams in form but the kick/mark style of GC won’t be suited in the wet. Crows to win but may be closer than most think.

Adelaide by 26 points (104-78)

Total Score UNDER 196.5 @ $1.91

Adel by 1-39 @ $2.35

Sydney vs GWS

Saturday twilight

SCG

Swan have some big names back and will be throwing the kitchen sink at their highly vaunted cross town rivals in what looms as almost a must win game for Sydney. Not sure I can see the Swans seeing Sept after an 0-5 start. Giants took 3 quarters to shake off the Power but WOW did they shake them off. This should be a ripper and I’m erring to the #value

Sydney by 3 points (97-94)

Sydney at the line (+13.5) @ $1.91

Sydney H2H @ $2.65 (small bet)

Either side by < 15.5 points @ $2.85 to cover us in case GWS to get up.

Fremantle vs North Melbourne

Saturday night

Subiaco

As good as Freo have been the last fortnight, are we all getting a bit carried away with them? North meanwhile, have been great without winning a game…if that makes any snse. Was hoping for $3 + on the Kangas but I’m not the only one that thinks they are a huge show. Mason wood back adds a extra goal kicking threat and with Pruess out, expect a bold showing from Goldy vs Sandi. Sniffing an upset but filthy at the price being offered

Kangas by 7 points (89-82)

Kangas by 1-39 @ $3 is worth a look but again, filthy at the price. #unders

St Kilda vs Geelong

Sunday afternoon

Docklands

St Kilda are slowly starting to hit their straps after a slow start to 2017. The return of Jack Steven is somewhat offset with the loss of Armitage. As with all teams that play the Cats, if the Saints are smart going inside 50 (i.e. don’t bomb it in) they are a hug show here. Cats most impressive ewin this year by far was their most recent but it was only against Hawthorn (can’t believe I just said that). At Etihad, Saints are #value. You must atke into consideration that I think Gamblor has bet against Geelong pretty much every week so may be a touch biased against them

St Kilda by 4 points (102-98)

St K H2H @ $2.85

StK at the line (+17.5) @ $1.91

Hawthorn vs West Coast

Sunday twilight

MCG

WOW! How the mighty have fallen! How on Earth could you go near the Hawks from a punting perspective. But not keen on backing WCE to beat anyone at MCG. This is a clash that’s screams STAY AWAY!!!

WCE by 25 points (106-81)

No Bet

Melbourne vs Richmond

MCG

Monday night

The Dees let us down BIG TIME last weekend but thankfully Gamblor is the forgiving type. Think they match up pretty well against the undefeated Tigers and Gamblor isn’t yet sold on Richmond.

Melbourne by 13 points (97-84)

Melbourne H2H @ $2.25

Melbourne at the line (+7.5) @ $1.91

Total Score UNDER 185.5 @ $1.91

Essendon vs Collingwood

MCG

Tuesday afternoon

Pies has some good ins and the Bombers (as we said at the start of the year) are one of the hardest teams to work out. Pies should win but wouldn’t want to be having your last on it. Forecast early doors is wet so bet accordingly

Collingwood by 15 points (88-72)

Bookies have this about right so no #value here
